Data Engineer

Contract

We're looking for an experienced data engineer who has worked with Azure and is proficient with SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI and can take a project from start to finish.

We're looking for a data engineer who cares about their craft and gets excited about architecting ETL/ELT processes, designing data warehouses, and writing SQL queries -- someone who can immediately contribute to the team, innovate and create great products.

Responsibilities

  • You'll architect, build, test, and maintain BI platforms for a variety of businesses and non-profits
  • You'll work with designers to make the best user experiences
  • You'll participate in regular design and code reviews
  • You'll get to build utilities and processes to make your job easier
  • You'll get to provide feedback about the kinds of projects you want to work on

Experience

Must Haves

  • Experience building ETL/ELT processes (preferably with Azure Data Factory or Snowflake)
  • Experience designing and building data warehouses
  • Experience building reports and semantic models with Power BI
  • Experience with SQL

Nice to Haves

  • Experience creating CI/CD processes
  • Experience handling large amounts of data
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs
  • Experience with .NET / C# to create Azure Functions or integrate data into web applications
